The end of something

An hour and 17 minutes ago I finished writing my Partial Differential Equations final exam. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm happy that the exam is done and I always am with exams. But at the same time I am sad. This is the last math course of my degree and quite possibly the last math course that I will ever take again and that makes me sad. I love math. I love the way it makes me think and I love the satisfaction of finally solving a math problem that I have been working on for hours. I am going to miss it.

There is still some physics left to concentrate on. I'm sure once the end has come there will be a long and mornful post.

Optometry appointment

Today I handed in the results of my optometry appointment to the Recruiting Centre. It was the last thing needed for my application. Now hopefully soon it will be sent off to the big wigs in Ottawa. Then hopefully I will soon know what is going to go on. I'm excited. I could be starting a career soon. Wow, crazy.

Another new cousin

This is Emma Grace MacDonald. She is my new cousin. Well second cousin that is. She is my cousin Murray's daughter and the first of the next generation of the Hardcastle family (my Mom's side of the family). Wow, two new family members in 4 months, how lucky am I? I can't wait until I go home during the summer to meet Erin and Emma.

Clifford E. Lee Nature Sancutary and 6 months!

Today Jon and I have been going out for 6 months! Time passes fast. So we spent some time at the Clifford E. Lee Nature Sancutary just outside of Devon. It's very pretty there and I haven't been there since going skating with Carol and Glenna about three winters ago. It was nice to get out of the city and into nature.
I assure you that pictures and stories of Mexico will be coming soon. For those of you on Facebook though there are already lots up there.
Also, the toad mystery has been solved. It turns out that Copernicus escaped while Jon was babysitting him. So he got replaced but Jon "forgot" to tell me. I don't yet have a name for the new one. I am considering Tycho after the astronomer Tycho Brahe.

Copernicus turned green

So I just went to feed Copernicus and see how he is because I hadn't seen him since I got home. Much to my surprise I discovered that he has apparently turned green on the top side of him. He was originally brown. In the wild fire bellied toads are green but most turn brown in captivity. Perhaps he changed back to being green? Although part of me suspects fowl play and that perhaps my toad has been replaced while I was away. I will have to question the suspect when I see him next. Here are before and after pictures.

Back from Mexico

I got back from Mexico yesturday, well actually very early this morning. The trip was amazing. It was more then I could ever have imagined and I would go back in a heart beat. The children who live at the home and in the village, Venadillo were amazing. It was pretty heart breaking to leave them. I really hope that I can go back sometime. I don't really know what to write in this post. There are so many thoughts and feelings that need to be analized. I'm sure posts for the next while will be about Mexico. All I can say is that God is awesome- Dios es grandious.
